I would like to extend A HUGE THANK-YOU to all the parents who helped with last night's "marathon." We are getting really good at moving equipment, and the custodial staff told me how much they appreciated parents and students pitching in to move our stuff, AND cleaning up any trash that might have been left behind. This is really, really great! When parents pitch in, that makes for a great lesson for the students about mutual responsibility.
Also, to the parents who helped with the costume changes, uniform take-in and inventory - that was similarly a big job, well executed!
Thanks also to the ticket takers who are helping not only with meeting and greeting, and selling tickets, but helping with the financial accounting of receipts.
The Concert:
We sure have some talented and hard-working kids, don't we!!??
On one hand I acknowledge the program was long with lots of "set" changes, but without going to yet a third night, this was our opportunity to showcase ALL of the children in what they worked on this Spring. Since it's all about the students, I figured that it would not be any longer than a Redskins game, and frankly, we had a better season.
